Pa Phach Peak is one of the most ideal spots in Moc Chau for cloud-hunting and sunrise viewing. Unlike the poetic beauty of the mustard or plum blossom fields found in the village below, this peak offers a majestic, pristine natural landscape set amidst the clouds of the Northwest highlands.
Best seasons to visit:
- Plum and peach blossom season (January – March)
- Sim flowers season (September - October)
- Wild sunflower season (October)
- White mustard flower season (November – December): This is considered the most beautiful and poetic time of year for Pa Phach. The entire valley and the slopes surrounding the village are blanketed in the pure white of mustard flowers cultivated by the local Hmong people.
- Additionally, you can go cloud-hunting during most seasons of the year; however, the period from February to June is considered the best time, as the seasonal rains create dense, spectacular seas of clouds that are easiest to catch.
