Nam Lang Waterfall is a stunning, unspoiled destination located in Phin Ty Village, near the tourist hub of Du Gia. It is often described as a "hidden gem" amidst the vast wilderness of the Northeast. Standing approximately 20 meters tall, the waterfall cascades from a subterranean cave deep within the mountain, flowing over multiple rocky tiers into a gorge featuring a pool of water that remains a vibrant turquoise year-round.
The site is situated about 10 km from the center of Du Gia. The access route is narrow, steeply inclined, and rugged, requiring confident riding skills; it is advisable to have a local resident or your homestay host guide you. Reaching the waterfall involves a trek of 300–500 meters, taking roughly 15–20 minutes on foot.
The best time to visit is between April and August (summer and early autumn). The cool atmosphere makes it an ideal escape from the heat of the lowlands. During this period, the pool’s turquoise hue is at its most vivid and intense, and the waterfall flows vigorously. It is also the perfect time for activities such as stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) or rafting deep into the subterranean cave.
